Softball Recap: Platt Takes a Loss

Platt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-1 to the Bristol Central Rams. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Platt saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Boyles, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was Boyles' first of the season.

Platt's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bristol Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Coming up, Platt will host East Hartford at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season. As for Bristol Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Tolland at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
