Volleyball Recap: Brown Deer Takes a Loss

Brown Deer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastbrook Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Divine Fateye and Taylor Reed, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Alayna Young and her three assists. Jaila Washington and Seraphina Her kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Brown Deer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Eastbrook Academy, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Brown Deer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Chesterton Academy on the 4th. As for Eastbrook Academy, they will take on Hmong American Peace Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
