Baseball Recap: Devon Prep Finds Home Field Redemption Against Germantown Friends

There's no place like home for Devon Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over Germantown Friends on Saturday. The Tide have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Germantown Friends, too.

Caleb Flannery was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. CJ Bruno also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Devon Prep's record now sits at 4-9. As for Germantown Friends, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Devon Prep will challenge Archbishop Ryan at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Germantown Friends, they will take on George School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Germantown Friends are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
