Baseball Recap: Central Cabarrus Takes a Loss

Central Cabarrus lost against Carson back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Central Cabarrus Vikings fell 7-3 to the Carson Cougars.

Jackson Parsons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two).

Central Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will square off against East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Rowan knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Central Cabarrus likes a good challenge. As for Carson, they will take on West Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
