On Friday, The Phoenix Christian Cougars got themselves on the board against the Mountainside Wolves, but the Mountainside Wolves never followed suit. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 37-0 victory over the Wolves. The result was nothing new for Phoenix Christian, who have now won six contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Phoenix Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Javien Willis led the charge by rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Z'yeon Rondan was in the mix as well, providing Phoenix Christian with three touchdowns.
Phoenix Christian's win was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Mountainside, they will head out on the road to face off against Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Highland Prep is ranked 198th, while Mountainside is ranked 208th).
