Basketball Recap: Ogden's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Ogden had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Ben Lomond Scots by a score of 55-42 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 39-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Ben Lomond still got an impressive performance from Jaerdan Vanbeekum, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Issac Stephens, who posted seven points.

Ogden's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11. As for Ben Lomond, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Ogden Tigers take on the Union Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ogden has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Ben Lomond, they will host Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ben Lomond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.4 points per game this season.
