Softball Recap: Fairfield Wins Going Away Against York County Tech

Fairfield's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the York County Tech Spartans 15-4. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Addison Welch, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubree Eichenlaub, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fairfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fairfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for York County Tech, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
