Baseball Recap: Plainview Comes Up Short

Plainview was the 7-4 winner over Tascosa when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Plainview Bulldogs fell just short of the Tascosa Rebels by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Plainview's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-7. As for Tascosa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Plainview and Tascosa: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Plainview will look to extend Monterey's five-game losing streak when they meet at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Tascosa will try to hand Caprock their 14th-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
