Softball Recap: Roswell Takes a Loss

Roswell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Hobbs Eagles, falling 15-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Alayna Tarin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Bella Ornelas, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Roswell's record is now 4-11. As for Hobbs, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Roswell beat the Eagles by a score of 9-3 later that day.
