Basketball Game Preview: Bishop McDevitt Crusaders vs. Central Dauphin Rams

The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders will challenge the Central Dauphin Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Tuesday, Bishop McDevitt earned a 58-50 win over Milton Hershey. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop McDevitt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kenyon Portee, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hammer, who put up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Central Dauphin strolled past Harrisburg with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 77-61. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Cougars are ranked 124th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop McDevitt's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Central Dauphin, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.

Bishop McDevitt couldn't quite get it done against Central Dauphin in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 as they fell 66-53. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
