Basketball Recap: Potosi Comes Up Short

Potosi entered their game against Farmington on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Potosi Trojans were dealt a 78-42 loss at the hands of the Farmington Knights. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Farmington had a senior duo take command as Cannon Roth dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds and Logan Schaupert went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to six assists and three steals. The game was Schaupert's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ryder Gollaher, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Potosi's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-3. As for Farmington, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Potosi has already played their next match (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Farmington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-48 win against Fredericktown on the 4th.
