Baseball Game Preview: St. Francis Sharks vs. Hollister Haybalers

For the second straight game, St. Francis will face off against Hollister. St. Francis will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hollister at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (St. Francis has won 13 straight at home dating back to last season, while Hollister won seven straight on the road also dating back to last season), something that'll have to change.

While St. Francis' victory against Hollister wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. St. Francis had just enough and edged out Hollister 5-4. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Haybalers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Mason Borrego, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Javier Fonseca was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

With the defeat, Hollister broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
