Soccer Game Preview: Eastmont vs. Wenatchee

Eastmont is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Eastmont face off against Wenatchee at 7:00 p.m. Their last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Eastmont is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Chiawana on Saturday. Eastmont fell just short of Chiawana by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Eastmont have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Wenatchee kept a clean sheet against West Valley on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rams. Wenatchee haven't had any issues with West Valley recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Eastmont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wenatchee, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Eastmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Wenatchee in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastmont since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
