Volleyball Recap: Powell Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Powell took on Knoxville Central on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost four in a row.

While Powell ultimately came up short, they really made Knoxville Central work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20.

Powell's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Knoxville Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Powell will take on rival Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Knoxville Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
