Softball Recap: Madison County Takes a Loss

Madison County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Walker Valley Mustangs, falling 10-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this matchup were averaging 4.07 runs allowed.

Madison County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addy Gustafson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Madison County's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Walker Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison County will venture away from home to square off against Plainview at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Walker Valley, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bradley Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
