One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Starr, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Gevry, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
St. Mary's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, Colorado Springs Christian's game on Friday was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Salida with points to spare, taking the game 65-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
St. Mary's better focus on containing Maximiliano Cota-Cordova and Levi Williams as the pair were huge in Colorado Springs Christian's win. Cota-Cordova almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards, while Williams went 8 for 12 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Velasquez, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards.
St. Mary's is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.
