The Pearl-Cohn Firebirds will head out to face off against the Stem Preparatory Academy The Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pearl-Cohn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Pearl-Cohn strolled past Cheatham County Central with points to spare, taking the game 47-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Firebirds.

Pearl-Cohn's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamorris Smith, who posted seven points along with six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lance Donaldson, who put up five points and three steals.

Pearl-Cohn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Stem Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foundation Christian Academy.

Pearl-Cohn's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Stem Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything came up roses for Pearl-Cohn against Stem Preparatory Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 77-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pearl-Cohn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
