Fort Thomas waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the St. David Tigers 62-27. The Apaches have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 27 points or more this season.

Jamie Johnson was a one-woman wrecking crew for Fort Thomas as she went 10 of 15 en route to 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Raeleigh Hawkins was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Fort Thomas smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.

Despite the loss, St. David saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Emma Hart posted 12 points and six rebounds. Hart is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played.

Fort Thomas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for St. David, they moved to 13-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Fort Thomas has already played their next match, a 68-31 win against Cicero Prep Academy on the 22nd. As for St. David, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 36-35 victory against Baboquivari on the 23rd.
