Baseball Recap: NOVA HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for NOVA HomeSchool's offense. They came up short against the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots on Saturday, falling 12-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Lions, who until this matchup were averaging 3.88 runs allowed.

This is the second loss in a row for NOVA HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 11-6. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. NOVA HomeSchool will take on Fredericksburg V at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Christopher's at 4:00 p.m. on May 4.
