Softball Recap: Garey Vikings vs. Montclair Cavaliers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yucca Valley, Garey was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Montclair Cavaliers.

Miley Diaz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tatiana Navarro, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Valerie Jimenez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
