Softball Recap: Stamford Takes a Loss

Stamford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Canaan Rams. The Black Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rams from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Stamford now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New Canaan, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Stamford will welcome Trumbull at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Canaan, they will head out on the road to square off against McMahon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Senators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.82 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
