The Methacton Warriors will challenge the Pennridge Rams at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Methacton came out on top against Pope John Paul II on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Warriors put the hurt on Pope John Paul II with a sharp 10-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sadie Fitch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Fitch was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Methacton let Reagan O'Donnell and Madison Isbrecht run wild. O'Donnell went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Isbrecht went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave O'Donnell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jasmine McKeown, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Methacton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pope John Paul II only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pennridge). They were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over Bensalem on Thursday. The Rams not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2, 2025 (when they won 14-4).
Taylor Toutkoushian was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Payton Keyser was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Methacton pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Pennridge, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
Methacton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Pennridge by a conclusive 15-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
