Basketball Recap: Niyah Wooten's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Bladen over Heide Trask + How To Watch

East Bladen was the 44-37 winner over Heide Trask when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Friday. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

East Bladen's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Niyah Wooten, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Wooten is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Sana'A Singletary, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, East Bladen fell to 4-1. As for Heide Trask, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coming up, East Bladen will be playing in front of their home fans against West Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heide Trask, they will face off against Richlands at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
