Volleyball Recap: Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the D.H. Conley Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-16, 25-8.

Lakota Flatt paced Jacksonville's offense, picking up four kills. Flatt got some help from Grey Williams and her five assists. Ava Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Player #91 was the offensive standout of the match as she had 17 digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 13 digs per game.

Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for D.H. Conley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Jacksonville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against White Oak on the 9th. As for D.H. Conley, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against J.H. Rose on the 9th.
