Football Recap: Legacy's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Legacy needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Joseph Rodriguez. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over the Bell Eagles on Friday for which the team can thank Rodriguez, who rushed for 90 yards on only 11 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending one pass.

Legacy's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Bell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Legacy will be playing in front of their home fans against South East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bell, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
