While Roncalli's victory against Fairmont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals had just enough and edged out the Firebirds 7-5. The win was nothing new for the Royals as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Nico Amodeo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Collin Ash was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Drew Nelson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Roncalli pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Fairmont, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roncalli will take on Decatur Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fairmont, they will challenge Troy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
