Jay proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 32) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Edison Golden Bears 46-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since December 6, 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Robert Williams, who shot 50% from the field en route to 15 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Alijah Hubbard, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

The victory got Jay back to even at 2-2. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Jay won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holmes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Edison, they and Southwest will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
