Soccer Game Preview: Pine Creek vs. Legend

The Pine Creek Eagles will take on the Legend Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pine Creek has nine straight wins, Legend has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Pine Creek's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Rampart. Isla Eaton had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Pine Creek.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Legend's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chaparral on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Legend have lost by exactly two goals.

Pine Creek pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. As for Legend, they now have a losing record of 5-6-3.

Pine Creek took their win against Legend when the teams last played back in May of 2016 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
