Softball Recap: Fayetteville Christian Takes a Loss

If Fayetteville Christian was feeling good fresh off their 21-12 takedown of Village Christian Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fayetteville Christian lost 18-8 to the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots on Monday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Abigail Lagos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Payten Simpson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Even though they lost, Fayetteville Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Fayetteville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Looking ahead, Fayetteville Christian will be playing at home against Northwood Temple Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will head out to face off against John Paul II Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
