Friday Wrap-Up: Wayne Hills (N.J.) back Dowling goes for 324 yards

In one of the biggest games in New Jersey this season, undefeated Wayne Hills (Wayne, N.J.) downed previously-unbeaten Ramapo (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) 36-14 thanks to a mammoth effort from standout running back Brian Dowling.

The focal point of Wayne Hills' offense, Dowling delivered in a big way, rushing 46 times for 324 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned an interception for another score.

Quarterback Kevin Olsen, son of head coach Chris Olsen and brother of Bears tight end Greg Olsen, threw a touchdown pass to Troy Zaffino for an additional touchdown.

With the win, Wayne Hills moves to 8-0, while Ramapo drops to 7-1.

Dorman knocks off Byrnes
In a rematch of last year's South Carolina 4A-I state final, Dorman (Roebuck, S.C.) once again got the better of Byrnes (Duncan, S.C.), winning 21-14.



Explosive wide receive Charone Peake had an 80-yard touchdown reception. The Clemson commit finished with five catches for 134 yards. A 24-yard touchdown run by Raymond Smith following a Byrnes turnover gave the Cavaliers all the points they would need.

Dorman remains undefeated, while Byrnes loses for the first time since suffering a 26-16 setback at the hands of Gaffney on Sept. 17th.

Flower Mound tops Plano West in a shootout
Quarterback Paul Millard threw for 490 yards and six touchdowns as Flower Mound (Texas) outlasted Plano West 56-42.

Millard is enjoying a phenomenal senior season. He now has thrown for 3,765 yards and 40 touchdowns in leading Flower Mound to a 7-2 record.

With the win, Flower Mound moves to a tie with Allen for the 5A district lead. The two teams will square off next weekend.

"This is the first time we've had the chance for a district title in Week 10," Flower Mound head coach Paul Millard told the Star Local News.



Williams leads Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.) past Bothell (Wash.)
The prep legend of Kasen Williams continued to soar as the nation's top-ranked receiver hauled in seven passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns and Skyline upended Bothell 31-21 in this battle for the KingCo 4A championship.

Skyline, ranked No. 1 in the state by the Seattle Times, also got a big game from sophomore quarterback Max Browne as his team beat Bothell for the second straight time. The previous win was 31-26 in the 4A state semifinals last seasons.

According to the Seattle Times, Browne completed 21 of 33 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns lifting Skyline to 8-1. It has won eight straight since a 39-34 loss to Liberty to open the season.

Bothell had won seven straight since a humbling 49-13 loss to Southern California power Mission Viejo. It managed just 18 yards rushing in the first half against Skyline, but got it rolling in the second half behind senior running back Luke Proulx (25 carries, 127 yards). His touchdown run with 8.4 seconds left in the third cut Skyline's lead to three points.

But the Washington-bound Williams caught a 26-yard TD pass in the fourth, then caused a fumble late to seal it.
