Baseball Game Preview: Port Washington Pirates vs. Cedarburg Bulldogs

The Port Washington Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Cedarburg Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Port Washington is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Homestead just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 12-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedarburg). They blew past Wauwatosa East 13-3 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Cedarburg's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Port Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Port Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over Cedarburg in their previous meeting on Thursday, winning 4-0. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
