Soccer Recap: Newberry's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

It's playoff time, and Newberry had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins on Monday. Considering Newberry have won eight matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Orangeburg-Wilkinson from everywhere, as eight different players booted in a goal. Angel Plascencia led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
