Liberty Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 44-9 win over the Appomattox County Raiders. The Bulldogs are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 15 straight dating back to last season.

Liberty Christian can attribute much of their success to Jacob Parziale, who threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. The dominant performance also gave Parziale a new career-high in passer rating (143).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian will venture away from home to square off against Ironton at 8:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Appomattox County, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
