Softball Recap: Berwick Comes Up Short

Berwick dropped to 18-8 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Terrebonne Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Shelby Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

As for Terrebonne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-16. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games.

On Terrebonne's side, Allie Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Smith has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on BRIANNA BREAUX, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Looking ahead, Berwick is taking a road trip to square off against Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Terrebonne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ascension Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
