Baseball Recap: Wayland Takes a Loss

Wayland came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Trenton Trojans, falling 9-2.

Trent Sikkema made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Wayland's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Trenton, their record now sits at 11-3.

Coming up, Wayland will venture away from home to square off against Carlson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats are facing the Marauders at the right time seeing as the Marauders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Trenton, they will welcome Powers Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
