Basketball Recap: Newton Takes a Loss

Newton lost against Hugoton back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Railroaders took a blow against the Eagles, falling 60-18. The Railroaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-9.

Newton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hugoton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton will challenge Valley Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hugoton, they will be taking part in a tournament against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
