Softball Recap: West Albany Gets the Win

West Albany's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They skirted past the Lebanon Warriors 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 9-8 loss.

Gabriella Young 2027 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 15 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ruby Salazar 2027, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West Albany kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.

West Albany's record now sits at 8-13. As for Lebanon, they dropped their record down to 7-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
