Baseball Recap: Broaddus Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Broaddus can now relate to. They fell just short of the Chester Yellowjackets by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since March 7th.

Caysin Hamilton stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played. Ace Williams was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Broaddus' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Chester, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Broaddus nor Chester have any future games scheduled.
