Softball Recap: Bethlehem Takes a Loss

Bethlehem made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ballard Memorial, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Eagles/Banshees fell just short of the Bombers by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles/Banshees have suffered since April 12th.

Bethlehem saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Hume, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Bethlehem and nudges their season record down to 18-9. As for Ballard Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Bethlehem will welcome Bardstown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ballard Memorial, they will challenge Frankfort at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
