Baseball Recap: Benedictine's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Benedictine's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Cadets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

With the win, Benedictine broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13-1. As for Norfolk Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.

Coming up, Benedictine will challenge Miller School of Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks will roll in looking for their 17th straight victory, something the Cadets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norfolk Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Norfolk Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Mighty Oaks at the right time seeing as the Mighty Oaks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
