River Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They blew past the Marysville Indians 3-0. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16, 25-9.

Jada Barr paced River Valley's offense, picking up 19 kills. Barr got some help from Alexa Campos and her 26 assists. Campos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

River Valley is headed away from home for the first time to square off against East Nicolaus at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marysville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Gridley on the 23rd.
