Basketball Game Preview: Gateway Christian Warriors vs. Hagerman Bobcats

The Gateway Christian Warriors will head out to square off against the Hagerman Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Gateway Christian strolled past Dexter with points to spare, taking the game 62-47.

Meanwhile, Hagerman hadn't done well against Eunice recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Hagerman sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 win over Eunice. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Gateway Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Hagerman, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Gateway Christian came up short against Hagerman when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 38-32. Can Gateway Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
