Basketball Recap: Kimberly Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

Kimberly had won four straight home games and Taya Plew did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Kimberly Bulldogs took down the Gooding Senators 66-47 thanks in part to Plew, who went 7 for 17 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 18 or more in the last four games she's played.

Berkley Dille was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Gooding lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Fallon Millican, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 14 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Rycraft, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists.

Kimberly has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Gooding, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-9.

Kimberly will venture away from home to face off against Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Gooding, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-50 loss against Dietrich on the 25th.
