Trae Nunn and King Grace secure win for Waxahachie

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Waxahachie Indians ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mansfield Legacy 72-69. The victory was nothing new for Waxahachie as they're now sitting on five straight.

Leading Waxahachie to victory were Trae Nunn and King Grace. Nunn scored 21 points along with six rebounds, while Grace scored 26 points along with three blocks. The match was Nunn's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isayah Pankey, who scored eight points along with six assists and four blocks.

Waxahachie has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Mansfield Legacy, they bumped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Waxahachie will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Waxahachie is ranked 62nd). As for Mansfield Legacy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 735 points over their last 11 matchups.
