Baseball Game Preview: Corinth Warriors vs. Ripley Tigers

The Corinth Warriors will head out to take on the Ripley Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Corinth is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Corinth made easy work of Pontotoc and carried off a 12-3 win. Corinth might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Ripley got the win against Shannon on Friday by a conclusive 8-2. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Red Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Ripley's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Corinth, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1.

Corinth was able to grind out a solid win over Ripley when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 6-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
