Football Recap: Camden Bulldogs vs. Wren Hurricanes
Camden had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over the Wren Hurricanes on Friday. 43 seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Wyatt Thompson, who threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made five total tackles (1.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception. The victory (which was Camden's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.6 points per game. As for Wren, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3.
Camden has already played their next match, a 49-7 defeat against Westside on the 29th. Wren does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
