North Pitt has gone 9-1 against Greene Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The North Pitt Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Greene Central Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North Pitt came up short against West Craven on Friday, falling 53-28. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Eagles are ranked 117th).

Despite the defeat, North Pitt had strong showings from Zihanna Lightfoot, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards, and Khamoni Heath, who posted seven points. Lightfoot has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 11 times she's played.
Meanwhile, Greene Central didn't have quite enough to beat Farmville Central on Friday and fell 47-45. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in An'Nysha Wooten and Madison Denham. Denham had a great game and dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 boards. Meanwhile, Wooten was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds.
North Pitt has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Greene Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: North Pitt has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 29.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Greene Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
North Pitt couldn't quite finish off Greene Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 49-46. Can North Pitt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
