Football Recap: Clearview Takes a Loss

Clearview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 21-7 fall against the Black River Pirates. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Braden Turner threw for 59 yards on eight of 16 attempts. On the ground, Christian Stevenson rushed for 67 yards.

Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Black River, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clearview is set to take on their familiar foe Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Black River will challenge rival Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
