Softball Recap: Slinger's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

While Slinger's win against Pewaukee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Owls had just enough and edged out the Pirates 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Owls sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Slinger pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Pewaukee, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

Coming up, Slinger will head out to take on Nicolet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Owls are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Pewaukee, they will welcome Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
