Football Preview: Park Tudor Panthers vs. Fremont Eagles
The Park Tudor Panthers have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome the Fremont Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Park Tudor will be strutting in after a win while Fremont will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Park Tudor earned a 28-20 victory over Indianapolis Shortridge.
Park Tudor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christopher Harris out in front who threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 39 yards. Another receiver making a difference was Landon Guerra, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Park Tudor's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Mark Gaines and Eland Edwards. Meanwhile, Fremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Angola 39-6. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Hornets are ranked 138th).
Park Tudor pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
